On Friday, December 20, tour Lexington’s historic churches, all decorated for the holiday season. Sample refreshments, hear holiday music, and learn about the history of these iconic downtown buildings.

On Friday, December 20, tour Lexington’s historic churches, all decorated for the holiday season. Sample refreshments, hear holiday music, and learn about the history of these iconic downtown buildings.
To save steps and see all seven churches, we suggest the route below, but feel free to create your own!
1. Randolph Street United Methodist Church, 118 S. Randolph Street. The Church will have Christmas music, provide a history and tour of the church, and offer refreshments.
2. Manly Memorial Baptist Church, 202 S. Main Street. Pastor Skyler will show visitors the sanctuary and offer refreshments; a QR code for historical information will be available as well.
3. Trinity United Methodist Church, 147 S. Main Street. Come visit our beautiful sanctuary and enjoy the sounds of the season, with live Christmas music!
4. Lexington Presbyterian Church, 120 S. Main Street. Lex Pres is excited to invite everyone to tour the sanctuary while enjoying light refreshments and Christmas music on the organ by William McCorkle.
5. First Baptist Church, 103 N. Main Street. First Baptist Church will have a tour of the facility, which includes the History Room, the African American Mini Art Gallery, Rosa Harris Clothing Closet, the Historic Sanctuary, and organ. Gospel Christmas Music will be playing in the background, and light refreshments will be available.
6. Grace Episcopal Church, 123 W. Washington Street. During the Open House at Grace, visitors are invited to see Nativity sets shared by our members. Martha Burford will play carols and invite all manner of fa-la-la singing, and candy canes will be offered! We look forward to visitors!
7. St. Patrick Catholic Church, 221 W. Nelson Street. We look forward to welcoming guests to St. Patrick Catholic Church. Visitors will have the opportunity to wander through the church nave and view the sanctuary, hear seasonal hymns and chants, and listen to short explanations of faith. All will notice the difference in our decorations for the season compared to other churches, as we are celebrating Advent in anticipation of Christmas. Parish volunteers will be happy to answer questions from visitors.
