Downtown Lexington Christmas Parade
Friday, December 2 • 6:00 p.m.
“Sounds of the Season”
Below is a map of where the numbers have been staked for line up along the streets. In summary:
4, 5, 6, 14 and 24 are lined up on Spotswood Drive.
2 and 3 are all Fire, EMT, etc. along Taylor Street
7 - 11 are on the first half of Wallace Street
12 - 36 are in Brewbaker Field
37 - 55 continue on Wallace Street and
56 - 70 are in the Maury River Middle School back parking lot.
Please share this with all involved in your organization so everyone is aware of where they need to go. Please be advised that the streets will be closed and busy with floats and vehicles lining up, as well as LOTS of people. We ask anyone dropping off children to park and walk them to their spot - there won’t be room for you to drive along the route.
Organizers, please let your group know where to pick up/meet their children after the parade. Our line up crew won't be able to answer those questions.
If you don't know your number, scroll down after the map. Entries are listed in numerical order first, then in alphabetical order.
Let’s all have fun tonight and stay safe!

Rules and Regulations
1. For safety reasons, all instructions of both the parade marshals and the Lexington Police Department must be obeyed.
2. REMEMBER: All entries MUST make some effort to decorate to the theme of the 2022 parade: Sounds of the Season.
This includes vehicle entries such as antique cars or trucks.
3. All performance groups and marching bands are limited to a three (3) minute timed stop. Those who don’t adhere to the time limit will not be judged and will be asked to move on. It is important to keep the parade moving in a timely manner.
4. Following are the safety requirements for all floats that will carry children.
Floats with children 12 and under will be required to have supervision by an adult.
Floats with children 5-12 years of age need 1 adult for every 5 children.
Floats with children under the age of 5 need 1 adult for every 2 children.
5. Stand and sit on elevated elements of your float at your own risk.
6. NO candy may be thrown from the floats. Candy may be distributed by walkers.
7. All entries must go to the end of the parade route before they let people on or off, disband, or get into vehicles.
No “on and off” is allowed during the parade. Let your group know where parents can pick up children.
8. At the end of the parade, all entries must remove their vehicle from Main Street before dismantling vehicle decorations.
