Joanne Peretti
Joanne has lived in and worked in Lexington for 26 years. She owned a local flooring and cabinet shop until 2018 and feels her retail experience is a good fit with MSL. Joanne has been very involved in the community as a past board director and president of the Chamber of Commerce, Lime Kiln Theater and Healthy Foods Coop. She currently serves on the Habitat for Humanity board. Joanne is an avid gardener and gourmet cook. She lives in Lexington with her two rescue cats, Buddy and Smudge. |
Sheila Glaeser
Sheila moved to Lexington in 2016, relocating from Coastal Georgia with her husband Arne and her daughter Gigi. She is a graduate of the University of Georgia in Athens with a degree in Journalism - Public Relations. After 33 years as a Delta Air Lines flight attendant Sheila retired in 2020 and is enjoying small-town life in Virginia. |

Jeff Hughes
Board President Jeff and his wife Cindy, owner of Sugar Maple Trading Company, moved to Rockbridge County ten years ago from Fort Worth, TX. For over 20 years, Jeff has been an Executive Director with Oklahoma-based LegalShield. Jeff has been a member and chair of the MSL Design Committee for two years. One focus as President of MSL’s Board of Directors will be to connect the merchants in downtown Lexington with Main Street Lexington. Jeff feels there is much to be learned from the owners that have been successfully running businesses in our city. |
Holly Ostby Vice President Holly was born and raised in New Jersey, but her husband Tom was born in Lexington and always wanted to return, so in 2010 they did just that. She works for Carilion Clinic doing community outreach and health education for the Rockbridge area. In addition to serving on the MSL Board, Holly also is on the Board of Directors for the Rockbridge Area YMCA and the Chamber of Commerce serving Lexington, Rockbridge and Buena Vista. She is a musician, an avid downhill skiier, and enjoys hiking and riding her motorcycle through our beautiful blue ridge mountains. |
Jessica Buhler
Treasurer Jessica works as the Director of Marketing for Kendal at Lexington. Jessica has over two decades of non-profit and public relations leadership experience and has served on the Main Street Lexington board for six years. She has also served as the Founding Director of the Senior Agenda Coalition, a nonprofit organization dedicated to elder advocacy and aging in Rhode Island. Jessica moved to Lexington from Boston, MA, together with her husband Michael Singleton, Head Men’s Soccer Coach at Washington and Lee University. |
Elizabeth Branner
Economic Vitality Committee Member Elizabeth Outland Branner has been on the MSL Board since 2015. She is a former president of the board and chair of the Organization Committee. Elizabeth serves as Assistant Dean for Law School Advancement at W&L Law where she oversees fundraising and alumni relations. A native of Norfolk, VA, Elizabeth has lived in Lexington for 28 years. In addition to MSL, she has served on the boards of the Rockbridge YMCA, Meals for Shut-Ins, and Yellow Brick Road. Elizabeth earned a B.A. in English and German from Wake Forest University and a M.B.A. from William & Mary |
Paige Gance
Economic Vitality Committee Member Paige, a native of Connecticut, attended Washington and Lee University where she met her husband Zander, and in 2018 they moved back to the Rockbridge area to open a shop on Main Street, Just Games Lexington. Main Street Lexington was a key part of this decision because of the Launch Lex program, which was the catalyst for a boom in new business in downtown Lexington. She has served on the MSL board since 2019 and also works at W&L as an analyst for advancement operations. She enjoys playing disc golf, board games, and hanging out with her three cats. |
Bobby Hobbs
Bobby is a commercial lender with CornerStone Bank, the only locally managed bank in Lexington and Rockbridge. Bobby is member of Lexington Presbyterian Church and serves as the Chairman of the Stonewall Jackson Community Health Foundation Board. He moved to Lexington in 2015 to join his wife, Megan, who works for Washington & Lee University. |
John Kirkpatrick
Economic Vitality Chair John is recently retired and worked his whole career in insurance, and mostly healthcare. He started at Prudential in 1984 and created his own brokerage firm in 1997. He and his wife and are happily retired in Vesuvius, VA. His wife, Jillian, keeps busy with horses, dogs, cats, and chickens. John plays with old cars, old trucks, motorcycles, boating, golfing, fishing and once in a while hunting. John and Jillian have no children, but are blessed with many great friends. |

Leslie Straughan
City of Lexington Leslie serves as the Lexington City Council Liaison to the Main Street Lexington Board and is a member of the Economic Vitality Committee. She and her family have lived in Lexington for the past 20 years. Leslie is the Office Manager for St. Patrick Catholic Church, and she has volunteered with many not-for-profit agencies in the area. Leslie joined the MSL board in 2017. |
Ben Worth
Dabney S. Lancaster Community College & Lexington - Rockbridge Chamber of Commerce Ben Worth is the Vice President of Academics at Dabney S. Lancaster Community College. He is a 1988 graduate of Lexington High School and a 1992 graduate of Washington and Lee University. He completed his doctoral studies at the University of Kentucky and worked for many years in the Kentucky Community and Technical College System. He returned to Lexington in 2016 with his wife Christian (W&L ’91) and his two children. He serves on the Board of Directors for the Chamber of Commerce. His hobbies include cycling the roads of Rockbridge County and playing the upright bass and bass guitar. |
